Food packaging made from plant-based renewable resources derived from bagasse, bamboo, hardwood or softwood. Sabert’s natural molded fiber pulp products may have inherent color variability which is naturally associated with harvesting agricultural raw materials for use in food packaging. All Sabert’s pulp food packaging is certified for industrial and home compostability and is recyclable only in certain communities where the appropriate recycling systems exist.
Best suited for short term storage and transportation
Well suited for all menu types; condensation may form on resting surface; pulp contains ~8% moisture
Hot meals with high oil or grease content may soften pulp after extended use or introduce moderate discoloring or seepage
It is recommended to test all reheating applications for high oil and grease food types prior to use if reheating is a primary function
Refrigerator Friendly
Works best in dry applications; refrigeration dwell time limited and will soften when exposed to excessive moisture
Freezer Friendly
Can be frozen up to six months before food degradation starts to accelerate
Microwavable
Works well in microwave applications on high for up to 3 minutes
Ovenable up to 400°F
Withstands 400°F for up to 30 minutes; preferred 350°F or less given the variability of applications and oven types
Turbochef Oven Safe
Not generally recommended; may work at limited time; testing is recommended
Heat Lamp Safe
Performs well under heat lamps; typically at 200°F for extended periods of time
